Package Details

This is not a 5-star hotel vacation, but a valuable and fun learning experience. This spring break vacation package is designed for those who want to spend a week or two exploring a new country, meeting new people, and making a lasting impact. You’ll live like a local by staying with a Jamaican family in an air-conditioned shared dorm room with free Wi-Fi, cable TV with Netflix, and hot water.

The trips are hosted and guided by Jomo Barnett, the co-founder of Jamaica International Projects, who provides a safe and authentic experience. The packages are all-inclusive, covering your accommodation, daily meals, airport transfers, and all excursions from the moment you arrive in Kingston. You’ll enjoy a variety of delicious Jamaican and international dishes, with all dietary needs catered to, including vegan, allergies, or any other preferences.

Package Options & Cost

8-Day Package (1 Week)

  • Cost: $1,555 per person (Shared Dorm Room)
  • Volunteer Work: 4 days of volunteer service with 25-30 service hours earned.
  • Accommodation: Shared dorm room with a local family. A private room is available for an additional $350.
  • Inclusions: Round-trip airport transfers, daily meals and snacks, cultural immersion courses, and excursions to Fort Clarence Beach, Devon House, Bob Marley Museum, Green Grotto Cave, and Dunn’s River Falls, among others.

16-Day Package (2 Weeks)

  • Cost: $3,126 per person (Shared Dorm Room)
  • Volunteer Work: 8 days of volunteer service with 50-60 service hours earned.
  • Accommodation: Shared dorm room with a local family. A private room is available for an additional $600.
  • Inclusions: All 1-week inclusions plus a second beach trip and tours to YS Falls with ziplining, Black River Crocodile Safari, Luminous Lagoon, Rose Hall Great House, Lime Cay, and a Blue Mountain coffee plantation tour.

Important Notes

  • Project Dates: The project dates are fixed to ensure seamless logistics for each group. The weeks of March 7, 14, and 21, and the two-week span of April 4–18 are exclusively for teens ages 12 to 18.
  • Payment: A non-refundable 15% deposit is required to secure your spot. The remaining balance can be paid in a 4-month payment plan. You can also request a fundraising letter to help raise funds for your trip.
  • Not Included: Flights, travel medical insurance, tips or gratuities, shopping money, or extra meals are not included.
