Are you seeking psychology internships abroad? If so then you need not look any further than Jamaica! Our psychology internship abroad program is made specifically for college and university students seeking to spend a few weeks abroad while on break from school. It offers you a chance to help boost your skills, provides you with hands-on experience, and enhances your CV simultaneously.
We have partnered with a number of local mental health clinics and facilities, where our psychology interns are able to work in real medical centers with real patients. Interns are given a host of duties, such as assisting in performing administrative tasks, working with the psychiatrist and other mental health professionals to observe and diagnose patients, administering medication, counseling youth, substance abusers, and abuse victims, visiting schools and communities to educate locals about mental illness, attend one-on-one or group counseling sessions and much more.
This is the perfect chance to help you to gain on-the-job experience, and to see what working in the mental health field is really like. Come prepared to be challenged like never before, as you work side by side with local teams to conduct research and field studies, and work with a wide range of causes, some more complex than others.
On the weekends and some days after your project, you can join in on fun cultural activities and adventures, or relax at your accommodation.
So if you are seeking a mental health internship abroad to provide you with valuable work experience while you get acclimated to a new culture, apply now and let us help you make your wish a reality.
