Overview
If you are seeking to join an internship in Jamaica while on a budget, then this package was made specifically for you. Our internship placement only package includes arranging meaningful placements, providing pre-arrival support and assistance, preparing internship related documentation for you when you arrive in Jamaica, as well as having a Project Advisor accompanying you to your work site on your first day.
This allows you to have more freedom as you will be able to book your own accommodation, transportation, and meals while in Jamaica, and therefore be able to budget more effectively. For example, for a 1-month internship you could find an affordable accommodation on Airbnb, rent a vehicle or take public transportation to and from your internship, and cook your own meals, all for under $2,000 USD. Conversely, you could book your stay in a nice hotel that includes your breakfast and dinner daily, hire a local taxi service to chauffeur you around, which would be considerably more costly.
This package was designed to allow interns to be more flexible in their choices when booking an internship with Jamaica International Project.
Depending on the type of internship you will be joining, you will have various locations where you can complete your project. Be sure to check out the full page of the internship you will be joining for placement locations available, or contact us before booking to be sure.
Check the full page of the internship you are looking to join for a full list of qualification needed, or contact us to learn more.
Most internship work hours are Mondays to Fridays from 9 am to 5 pm, however, this may vary from project to project.
Upon the successful completion of your internship, we will award you with an Internship Certificate, signed by our Managing Director.
We recommend that you take along the following items with you during your internship:
Internship placement only packages do not include accommodation, meals, or transportation, so you will be responsible for securing your own housing while on this project. This is perfect for interns with a family who live in Jamaica or are visiting Jamaica for business or vacation and already have accommodation booked. It is also ideal for interns on a budget who prefer to book their own rooms using Airbnb and other booking engines.
For an additional cost, we can provide our accommodation booking services where we provide a list of suitable accommodation options that are near to your work site. This would eliminate the guesswork and hours of research on your end.
If you are interested in this service select it as an add-on when you are making your booking.
For an extra cost, we can provide you with all the transportation services you will need for your internship placement only project. These include the following:
 • Airport pickup
