In-person tourism internship placements are based at our office in St. Catherine, Jamaica. The online internship option is available to participants anywhere in the world, with no travel required.
This program suits students, graduates, and career-changers with an interest in travel, tourism, hospitality, marketing, business, or technology. No prior industry experience is required — just curiosity, initiative, and a genuine desire to learn. Up to 40 internship hours per week, with a certificate of completion and letter of recommendation provided.
Our tourism internship is one of the few programs of its kind that works in both formats without compromising the quality of the experience. Here is what each looks like in practice:
In-Person Internship
You are physically here in Jamaica — embedded in our team, present at our offices, out in the field with our tour clients, and living in the homestay with other project participants.
Online Internship
You work with our team remotely — contributing to real projects from wherever you are in the world, with structured tasks, regular check-ins, and full mentorship access.
None in particular. We are looking for motivated, curious people who want to learn — not polished professionals who already know everything. That said, if you have relevant experience or skills in areas like web development, digital marketing, graphic design, content writing, or customer service, they will be put to good use. Any relevant qualifications or experience should be listed in your application and CV.

Your first day is an orientation day. You will meet the team, get a walkthrough of our brands and how they connect, and sit down with your supervisor to map out your internship goals and schedule. By the end of day one, you will have a clear picture of what your project looks like and where you fit into it.
For in-person interns, evenings and weekends are yours. Our partner tour company offers adventures across the island — from the Blue Mountains to Seven Mile Beach. You will also be living with our host family, who will introduce you to Jamaican food, culture, and daily life in a way that no hotel ever could. Some of your best learning will happen away from the desk.
You leave with a formal Tourism Internship Certificate signed by our Managing Director, a detailed letter of recommendation, and documentation confirming your hours and areas of contribution. If your institution requires specific paperwork for course credit approval, we will work with you to provide whatever is needed.
It may — but this depends entirely on your institution. We will provide all the documentation your university or college needs to evaluate the placement. The decision to grant academic credit rests with them, not with us. We recommend reaching out to your academic advisor or internship coordinator early in the process to understand what your institution requires.
