Your Project Advisor accompanies you to your placement on day one. You will meet the local organizer, receive an orientation of current programming and community priorities, and get a briefing on your specific role before you begin.
Schedules vary with community programming, often concentrated around after-school hours or weekend events. Outside of placement hours, our partner tour company offers excursions across the island, or you can simply rest and reflect on your day.
You receive an official Volunteer Certificate signed by our Managing Director confirming your placement, your project, and your hours. If you need documentation of your hours for academic or professional purposes, we work with your placement organization to provide as complete a record as possible.

Construction is hands-on physical building and renovation work. NGO Support is office and admin-style work for a specific nonprofit. Community development sits between the two — neighborhood-level organizing, outreach, and event support that follows whatever the local community currently needs, day to day.
