Google Account Sign-In and Google User Data

Jamaica International Projects allows users to register for, sign in to, and access their Jamaica International Projects account using their Google Account. We provide this functionality through Google OAuth and the Nextend Social Login plugin installed on our website.

Use of Google Sign-In is optional. You may create or access your Jamaica International Projects account using other available login methods instead.

Google Data We Access

When you choose “Continue with Google,” “Sign in with Google,” or another Google login option on our website, our application requests only the Google account information necessary to authenticate you and create or connect your Jamaica International Projects user account.

The standard Google OAuth permissions used by our social login application are:

  • Email: Used to obtain the email address associated with your Google Account.
  • Profile: Used to obtain basic Google profile information associated with your account.

Depending on the information available from Google and the configuration of your Google Account, the information received may include:

  • Your first name
  • Your last name
  • Your email address
  • Your Google profile picture or avatar
  • A Google account identifier used to associate your Google login with your Jamaica International Projects account
  • An OAuth access token used by the social login system to complete and manage the authorized authentication process

Jamaica International Projects does not receive or store your Google Account password.

Our Google Social Login application does not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, Google Photos, Google Docs, or other Google Workspace content. We do not request sensitive or restricted Google API scopes for the standard Google login functionality described in this Privacy Policy.

How We Use Google User Data

Social Login Authentication Cookie

Nextend Social Login may create a temporary cookie known as SESSnsl during the social authentication process.

This cookie contains a temporary session identifier rather than your Google profile information. It is used to associate the authentication request initiated on our website with the response received from Google, validate the authentication process, and help protect the login process against unauthorized or forged requests.

Any service provider processing information on our behalf is permitted to use that information only as necessary to provide the applicable service to Jamaica International Projects and subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, a valid legal process, court order, regulatory requirement, or governmental request; enforce our agreements; investigate fraud or security incidents; or protect the rights, property, and safety of Jamaica International Projects, our users, or others.

How We Protect Google User Data

We maintain technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect Google user data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, misuse, or destruction.

These safeguards include:

  • HTTPS/TLS encryption for information transmitted between users, Google, and our website.
  • Restricted administrative access to systems containing account information.
  • Authentication and access-control measures for administrative systems.
  • Server and website security controls intended to reduce unauthorized access.
  • Limiting access to personal information to authorized personnel and service providers who require access to perform legitimate business functions.

No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security. We continually work to maintain safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we process.

Google User Data Retention

We retain Google user data only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the account and authentication services described in this Privacy Policy, maintain your active Jamaica International Projects account, comply with applicable legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements.

OAuth tokens may expire, be revoked, or be deleted before other account information.

When your Jamaica International Projects account is deleted, or when Google user data is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected, we will delete or securely remove the Google user data under our control unless retention is required or permitted by applicable law.

Revoking Google Access

You may revoke Jamaica International Projects’ access to your Google Account through the third-party connections or connected applications settings within your Google Account.

Revoking Google authorization prevents future use of that authorization but may not automatically delete information that was previously provided to Jamaica International Projects and stored as part of your website account.

To request deletion of previously stored Google user data, you must submit a deletion request as described below.

Requesting Access or Deletion of Google User Data

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of Google user data and other personal information associated with your Jamaica International Projects account at any time.

To request deletion of your information, email in**@**************************ts.com and state that you are requesting deletion of your Jamaica International Projects account or Google Social Login data.

After receiving and verifying a valid deletion request, we will delete the applicable personal information and Google user data under our control unless we are legally required or permitted to retain specific information.

Deleting or disconnecting your Google Account from Jamaica International Projects does not delete your Google Account itself or information independently maintained by Google.
