Sample itinerary

Day 1:Arrive In Jamaica

We pick you up at the airport in either Kingston or Montego Bay and transfer you to your accommodation. If we booked the accommodation, then we will assist with check-in.

Enjoy your welcome dinner.

Day 2:An Intro To The Jamaican Culture & Language + Jamaican Cooking Class

The Jamaican culture class will give you an overview of the most crucial aspects of the Jamaican culture, including our history, currency, music, the way of life of the typical Jamaican, and much more.

You will also receive a fun yet informative lesson on Patois, which is a local dialect spoken here. You will learn greetings, gender pronouns, and words and phrases you will likely hear before you leave the island.

Your first culinary adventure will be a Jamaican cooking class where you sample fresh fruits that are in season and learn how to cook a full Jamaican meal from scratch. Rice and peas, Jerk chicken/pork/fish, or vegan options are on the menu. You will also be making and enjoying a popular Jamaican dessert.

Day 3Craighton Coffee Plantation & Devon House Ice Cream

Visit Craighton Estate in the Blue Mountains where you will learn all about the world-famous Blue Mountain Coffee. You will get a fully guided tour of a working coffee plantation where you will learn how coffee is grown, harvested, processed, and brewed. You will also enjoy a fresh cup.

Afterward, we head to Devon House for a tour of the Mansion built by Jamaica’s first black millionaire (optional), then head to their ice cream shop to enjoy the best ice cream available in Jamaica.

Day 4:Fast Food Sampling & Grocery Shopping

We head to the most popular fast food joints in Jamaica so that you can sample their offerings, and compare them to branches that may operate in your home country. This can include KFC, Burger King, Wendy’s, Popeyes and Starbucks, and popular local eateries such as Tastees, Jucci Beef Patties, Island Grill, and more.

Our next stop will be to a local supermarket, where you will browse and sample some of our most popular local snacks, pastries, spices, beverages, fruits & vegetables, and more. If it is safe to do so, we can also visit a local market as well.

Day 5:Appleton Estate & Little Ochi Seafood

Learn the sugar and rum-making process on a fully guided tour of the Appleton Estate. You will sample sugar cane, cane juice, molasses, and of course various blends of Appleton Rum. At the end of the tour, you will get a small commemorative bottle of rum, and access to the gift shop where you can shop for a wide variety of souvenirs.

Next, we head to Little Ochi Seafood, which allows you to pick your own fish/lobster before they cook it, and allow you to dine on the beach.

Day 6:Croydon Plantation + Zimbali Retreats Farm Tour & Live Cooking Demonstration

Croydon Plantation is a working plantation that grows every species of pineapples, has an apiary, and grows a number of crops. You will get a fully guided tour of the plantation, and sample fresh fruits along the way. Afterward, enjoy their lunch of delicious barbequed chicken.

Zimbali Retreats offers a unique “farm to table” experience where you tour their organic farm, then watch as their chef prepares your 4, 5, or 6-course meal before your very eyes.
