Garland Hall Children Home

Children Home in Need of Support

Background

Garland Hall Children’s Home is home to over 30 children. Located in St. James near Montego Bay, this home is in need of support and repairs. Due to the pandemic, the home has not received the support needed to remain in top condition for the children.

Even though the home is overseen by the Jamaican government, the financial support that the home receives each month goes a little way. Our volunteers and team have discovered there are several areas where the home and kids there need help, including:

  • Replacing and removing broken furniture and equipment
  • Recreating the computer/library area that has ran down
  • Funds or donation of food stuff to adequately feed the kids
  • Painting and renovation of several areas
  • Deep cleaning and repairs
  • Fumigation or insect removal
  • Some structural repairs

While awesome volunteers like Jojo and Bria have visited the home the past year and did phenomenal work to help the kids and get the home the help it desperately needs, we need more volunteers and donors to whip the home back into top shape.

Our team will be coordinating the communication with the home, since their phone system is limited and email/internet supply non existent.
