Prove Your Independence On Our Teen Volunteer Abroad Programs In Jamaica

If you are a teenager looking to escape from your comfort zone and demonstrate your independence to your parents, friends, potential employers and colleges, you should consider joining our teen volunteer abroad programs here in Jamaica. This program will give you the chance to volunteer while you travel and meet new people, integrate into a new culture and build up your self-confidence to a whole new level.

Teenage Volunteer Abroad Programs will open a world of opportunities for you, such as completing community service hours for high school, earning credits for graduation, adding international experience to your resume, strengthening your college application as well as a chance to learn new skills while taking a gap year and figuring out your next move.

We offer many service projects for our teens to give back in Jamaica. Our programs run from 1 week to 3 months, are affordable, secured and highly structured. This is a chance for you to show your parents how independent you can be, and that you are ready and willing to take on any challenges that come your way.

Some Projects Offered In Our Volunteer Abroad Teens Trip Includes:

Why We Go The Extra Mile On Our Teenage Volunteer Abroad Programs

Although we treat all of our volunteers like a part of our family, we pay special attention to teenagers and offer them extra support and supervision to ensure that they feel safe, comfortable and at home. We understand the fear and concerns of our teenage volunteers, as well as their parents/guardians. This is why we insist on speaking to a parent or guardian during our first Skype/Google Hangout meeting, so we can let you know that we can be trusted, and that we do care.

We always encourage our teens and their parents to consider Jamaica as your second home, and our team as your second family.

Remember, as a teen you are never too young to volunteer overseas and change your life, as well as the lives of the less fortunate.

Resources:

The project(s) that you choose to undertake during your teenage volunteer abroad opportunities in Jamaica may require some resources in order for the project to be completed smoothly. We will provide you with a list of these resources so that you can attempt to raise funds and collect them as donations back home.

This is NOT compulsory, and you can always opt out of doing this.

If you are however interested in raising funds and collecting donations back home to aid your project, we will be happy to provide you with any support documentation that you may require. You can also check out our fundraising guide for some great tips on how to raise funds for your teen volunteer overseas project in Jamaica.

We offer projects for a minimum of 1 week and a maximum of 3 months. For projects longer than 3 months, you will need to contact us to check visa and other requirements.

Your First Day:

On the first day of your project, a Program Advisor will accompany you to your project site, where you will be introduced to the local staff who will show you around the property and introduce you to the team. Before your Program Advisor departs, he/she will ensure that you are settled in and that you know where to purchase your lunch.
