Give Back On Our Christian Mission Trips In Jamaica

Are you seeking to embark on Christian mission trips abroad? Looking to travel to Jamaica to perform Christian mission aid services while partnering with a local church to help spread the good news of Jesus Christ and worshiping in Jamaica? If so then continue reading to learn how we assist Christian mission organizations who wish to work with a local church to help the poor and make a lasting difference.

Christianity is Jamaica’s official religion, and Jamaica holds the record for the most churches per square mile. The aim of the Partnership between the Good News Assembly of Praise (our partner church) and Jamaica International Projects is to help spread the gospel while we serve alongside locals to complete church missions to empower citizens and improve the environment.

We aim to not only aid the Good News Assembly of Praise in its mission to purchase church land and expand its congregation, but also to help establish Christian mission service programs in the community. We are working with the church to launch several church mission ideas that need assistance and funding. We also work with a number of organizations such as children homes, homes for the disabled, human rights organizations, medical facilities and others who need the aid of volunteers.

Here Are Some Of Our Christian Missions In Jamaica:

Church In Mission Bible Study

During your Christian missions abroad your group can work with the church to conduct bible study sessions where members from your church share bible lessons, preach, play Christian games and much more. This will allow your group to interact with Jamaican Christians to offer an unforgettable cultural exchange.

Volunteer Outreach Programs

We have a wide range of volunteer options available during our church mission trips, such as community development volunteering (including orphanages, construction, teaching etc.), medical volunteer projects, environmental volunteer projects and much more.

Bible Lessons And Bible School

You can help the church with bible study, youth in action, prayer and fasting and Sunday sermons. Help to teach church members on lessons on the bible, as well as minister to them. Also during summer, vocational bible school is kept for the children and teens that are on holiday from school. You can take part and join this experience.

Purchasing And Building Church Ground

The Good News Assembly of Praise is currently located on a rented property situated upstairs of a plaza. This has caused a problem, as many elderly members or those that are disabled cannot make it up the stairs. The church is currently seeking to raise funds for purchasing land to build the church to be more accessible. You can assist by doing Christian missionary work back home to present to the church as a donation.

Development Of A Skills Centre

The church seeks to establish a skills centre that will provide free technical training to at-risk youth in the community. This will equip them with the necessary skills and education to make a living and transform themselves into productive members of society.

Home For The Elderly

There are very few homes for the elderly in the surrounding communities, and many of the residents cannot afford to care for their golden aged relatives properly. That is why the Good News Assembly of Praise seeks to develop a home for the aged with professional nurses to care for our elderly. During this church mission of help you can accompany the church to visit a home for the elderly.

Medical Church Mission Projects

The Bishop and Pastor of the church are both pharmacists, and every fourth Sunday they keep a mini clinic in the church, where they perform free blood sugar and blood pressure tests. They also do maternity outreach, where they travel to clinics and give care packages to first time mothers at the local clinic.

Manufacturing Employment Center

The unemployment rate is extremely high in Jamaica, and there are countless numbers of residents and church members who cannot find work. It is the aim of the church to develop a manufacturing centre to develop local products to sell, thus creating employment for our members and residents, while raising funds to help purchase church grounds and maintain the church.

Christian Missions Trips Overview

While in Jamaica, your Christian mission groups will stay at the Hellshire Beach Club, which is less than 30 minutes away from the church. Your projects will vary depending on your preferences, and range from construction, sports, bible study, teaching in schools, medical clinics, and worshiping in church.

Your meals, daily transportation, airport pickup and accommodation will all be arranged by Jamaica International Projects. We offer you 24/7 support, and pre arrival orientation as well, to ensure that you get to your projects safely and on time, are comfortable and that your goals are being met and accomplished.

Local church members crave the encouragement of Christians from around the world, and for many this is the only opportunity for them to get exposure to diverse cultures and meet fellow Christians from abroad.

Project Info

Jamaica has many sides to its story. There is the beautiful everything-is-alright version that you see in movies, magazines and on cruises. Then there is the side that is stricken with poverty, un-education and unemployment. Unlike the picture-perfect island paradise that is often portrayed, many Jamaicans are forced to live below poverty line, and can barely provide for themselves and their families.

Your Christian mission international trip will place you in the heart of the communities with the greatest need, where you will get the chance to serve with locals to analyse and solve real problems.
